South Coast Bakery Pasties Baked Every Morning
Lovely
Had a very tasty pasty here for lunch, staff were friendly and helpful and we couldn't fault it. And the pasty was delicious.

A Cornish family business

South Coast Bakery is a small, friendly and thriving Cornish family business set in a wooded valley in Looe, South East Cornwall.

We’ve been making and baking wholesome and delicious pasties since our grandmother taught us when we were nippers! Now, along with four other very experienced bakers from local families (with more pasty baking years than we care to think about), we make and bake for our two shops and you, our customers all over the UK.

We now sell our scrummy pasties from this website, CornishPasties.com, and to locals and visitors via our Looe and Polperro bakery shops. Do pop in and see us when you’re in the area as we love to meet all our customers.

How we make your Cornish pasties

Every morning our small but amazing team of bakers are in before the dawn chorus, checking the orders, preparing ingredients, making pastry and warming the ovens.

They work together like clockwork, weaving in and out the prep tables taking the freshly made pasties to the ovens and finally the cooling racks before being sent out for local delivery or packaged up for delivery to your door.

Unlike supermarket and big brand pasties who make their pasties by machine, every pasty we create is expertly handmade by a baker with years of baking experience behind them. Most of our team have been baking since leaving school and worked hard to gain the skills and knowledge required to prepare, crimp and bake our delicious pasties.

Only the best ingredients will do, here's why

If you crave a Cornish pasty that reminds you of summer holidays, childhood memories and days on golden beaches, here’s our little secret… buy local. Here’s why.

Cornwall is renowned for its golden sunshine, bright blue skies, clean fresh air, rich green fields and rain like you’ve never seen before! Mother Nature’s gifts all combine perfectly to grow the most flavourful ingredients.

So, when you try one of our pasties, close your eyes and think of your favourite place in Cornwall, now take a bite, taste the difference and relive the moment.

Freshly baked every morning

All our pasties are handmade and baked in the morning before being sent off to local stores, our shops in Looe and Polperro or you, wherever you are in the United Kingdom.

The reason we bake every morning is that fresh pasties taste better, it’s as simple as that. Fresh, crumbly, melt-in-the-mouth pastry which gently gives way to a mouth watering and succulent feast of flavours, can only be created if baked and enjoyed as fresh as possible.

Hence we bake your pasties and post them on the same day.

Authenticity

We live and breathe baking and have spent countless hours developing and refining our ingredients and recipes to create what we feel are some of the most delicious pasties in Cornwall.

Your experience and enjoyment are therefore paramount and topmost in our minds at all times. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to run our family business doing something we love every day, so it’s important for us to remain authentic to our roots at all times.

Cornwall is our home and has been for generations and to make and bake our favourite Cornish pasties for people anywhere in the UK, is both a delight and something we are very grateful for.

If you have any questions, please get in touch at any time.
